The Medical Assistant program introduces students to anatomy and physiology of the body systems, medical terminology, and required clinical and administrative skills needed for an entry-level Medical Assistant position. Students will engage in hands-on training in clinical and administrative procedures such as injections, venipuncture, telephone techniques, filing and preparation of medical records. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level positions such as: Clinical Medical Assistant, Administrative Medical Assistant, Medical receptionist, and Laboratory Assistant.
